What is a Loving-Group?

Many of us have been truly inspired by a book "Real Love" printed over 20 years ago by Greg Baer." We've experienced deep changes in the way we see and love ourselves, our partners, families, co-workers and friends. We began to share the concepts with others and found that our lives began to be transformed by the unconditional acceptance we gave each other.
Loving Groups are the place to begin to experience this transformation. During the weekly, two hour meetings, we gather together to practice giving and receiving unconditional love/acceptance in a safe environment while learning practical ways to improve all of our relationships. This is a place were we practice leaving victimhood behind and begin to learn to tell the truth about our own behaviors. No prior experience or level of participation is necessary, although reading the book, "Real Love" is highly recommended.

Loving-Groups had national groups and conference calls, classes, and retreats. During the Pandemic of 2020, we were forced to close. As of 2024, we are resurrecting the groups slowly with one in Gilbert, AZ.

We teach the simple principles. The problems can be complicated but the solutions are simple.
1. When in doubt, tell the truth about yourself.
2. When I am not happy, I'm wrong. I am either believing a lie or having an expectation.
If it's complicated, only smart people would get it. We teach that anyone can implement the principles, what you need most is guts. We supply the basic principles.
There is simply no way to arrive at smart and wise without traveling through a little stupid and foolish. No shortcuts. Enjoy the journey.

Loving-Groups “Gold Nugget”
When others behave badly they are in pain.
It is difficult at times “translating” other people’s behaviors from a compassionate perspective, especially if their behaviors are directed at us.
Some behaviors like being anti-social, withdrawn, attacking angrily or plain old destructive behaviors can sometimes leave us shaking our heads and asking, “why?”. These behaviors are not being seen for what they are, FEAR! They are an expression of the inner turmoil that resides within the individual. Pain drives bad behaviors and choices. People only behave badly when they lack the love in their life that eliminates their pain, fear and confusion.
So the next time someone behaves badly, you can simply ask, “how can I best help?”
